After Daniel and Miagi win the tournament together, Daniel moves in with Miagi as things develop. Meanwhile, Miagi receives a letter from Okinawa that her father is ill. Miagi wants to go it alone, but Danielle spends her college money to accompany her. When they arrive in Okinawa, they are not well received by Sato, who was once Miagi's best friend. Miagi and Sato, who take lessons from Miagi's father together, become enemies because of their love. When they arrive at Tomie's village, Yuki and his niece Kumiko welcome the duo. With his last breath, Miagi's father tries to reconcile his two students. But when Sato dies, he gives Miagi three days to confront him. Daniel suffers from Satō's nephew and is just as ruthless as Chozen.
