Lemon Tree and Syrian Bride's director Eran Riklis' latest film is, in the director's own words, "a road movie that takes us away from anger and encourages us to rethink and reevaluate." Olive takes place in 1982 during the Israel-Lebanon war. Israeli fighter pilot Yoni parachuted from his plane that started to crash and crashed into a Palestinian refugee camp in Beirut. Faced with the enemy, little Fahed and his friends take their anger out on the pilot. However, Fahed let the pilot go on the condition that they move together to Israel to plant his father's olive tree. As the soldiers follow them through Lebanon, they will have to overcome their hatred and intolerance and learn to trust each other.
