Barbara and Adam are newlyweds and madly in love with each other. One day they die in a traffic accident. They suddenly find themselves ghosts in their New England home. After their death, the house is sold and the new family that owns this house is made up of very annoying personalities. Especially their little girl Lydia, who is a depressed person, will get on the nerves of the ghost duo. Barbara and Adam decide to scare the family who come to their house, but they are not scary enough. The Beetlejuice they want will help them; but the couple will regret asking for help.
