Willow

Willow was born from an idea that director George Lucas had in 1972. In 1985, he asked his close friend Ron Howard, who was about to finish Cocoon, to make a story-based movie. Bob Dolman was hired to write the script. After seven drafts, producer Lucas was finally satisfied. To play the eponymous character, he signed with Warwick Davis, a 1,07 cm tall British actor whom he knew while playing Ewok. Willow tells the story of young farmer Willow Oofgood (Davis), one of the Nelvin "Halflings" who tries to save the holy baby (Ruth and Kate Greenfield) from the evil Queen Bavmorda (Jean Marsh), who wants to destroy it. He is helped by the master swordsman Madmartigan (Val Kilmer) who has taken over the queen's kingdom, the sorceress Fin Raziel (Patricia Hayes) who has turned into a muskrat, and finally, the queen's daughter Sorsha (Joanna). Wally). Kilmer and Wally first met in this movie and later got married.
