In this murder tale of a downtrodden career writer (Kilmer) on tour to promote a book written by an author who finds himself in the middle of a murder mystery that kills a young girl. (Fanning), in a small town, this murder story is about losing yourself. Inspired by Coppola's dream, Twixt is said to have a structure reminiscent of the stories of Hawthorne and Poe.
