Josh Kovacs (Ben Stiller) lives in New York and manages one of the city's most secure and luxurious residences. In this task, which he has been doing for more than 10 years, even flying birds should be asked of him. But on the top floor of this building lives a big speculator, stockbroker Arthur Shaw (Alan Alda). Released after stealing $2 billion from his investors, Shaw is under house arrest in this super-luxury tower, and Arthur's biggest victims are the tower workers who lost their money because of him! Josh and his team hatch a plan to get the money and get revenge on Arthur. They aim to recruit Slide (Eddie Murphy), a big-time con man, and steal a "thing" they're sure Arthur's hiding in his apartment. The thieves are novices, but they know the building they've been defending for years better than anyone else...
