Following the tragic death of her husband, Audrey Burke begins to form new friendships with her husband's childhood friend, Jerry Sanborn. However, Jerry has a bad habit in his life that leads him to tragedy: Jerry is a heroin addict and loses everything precious to him because of this addiction. As Audrey clings to Jerry for survival, Jerry won't let his addiction destroy her.
