Hwanghae - The Yellow Sea 2010 Movie "The Yellow Sea" is an action thriller about a taxi driver, Gu-nam, who, due to his desperation and debts, goes to South Korea to commit murder and the events he experiences there. The film's lead actor, Ha Jung-Woo, was given the Best Actor award at the Asian Film Awards for his performance. Reviews were generally positive and the film was written and directed by Hong-jin Na. The film was screened in the Un Certain Regard section of the Cannes Film Festival.
