Ashley and her little daughter Sarah find themselves involved in a risky criminal scheme that puts their lives in danger. They desperately try to reach out to Ashley's estranged father, Matt, who lives a laid-back life as a beach bum in the Cayman Islands. As they head to the island to meet Matt, they are also being pursued by the crime boss Donnie and his lieutenant Bobo. With each passing moment, Ashley, Sarah, and Matt get entangled in a more dangerous web. Ashley quickly discovers that her father has a secret past she knew nothing about and that he is more than meets the eye.
