Inspired by a true event, the film tells the story of a family. Newly divorced basketball coach Clyde (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and jewelry designer Stephanie (Kyra Sedgwick) have minor frictions, while daughters Emily (Natasha Kalis) and Hannah (Madison Davenport) struggle with their estranged parents. Little Emily loves her father very much and hopes that her family will be reunited. Clyde takes his daughters with him to spend the weekend together. They stop at a house they meet on the way and sell old things. The old woman who owns the house had a tragic accident recently. At an antiques sale, Emily notices a black wood-carved box.
