The only survivor of a murder in which a ruthless killer killed an entire family is the youngest son of the house; but he was also seriously injured and is still in shock. Detectives call psychiatrist Eric Maria Bark, in hopes that he can communicate with the boy through hypnosis and that the police can initiate an investigation. So they can reach the boy's missing sister before the murderer does. But Eric had last practiced hypnosis ten years ago and swore he would never do it again. When events take an unexpected turn, events affect Eric's life as well. Nominated for an Academy Award from Sweden, this breathtaking thriller is the first film directed by master director Lasse Hallström right after Salmon Fishing in Yemen. The original novel on which the film is based was also published in Turkish under the same name.
