Horrible In a traveling circus in the 1880s, Dr. Frederick Treves stumbles upon John Merrick, nicknamed the Elephant Man, who has an ugly and rather unstable appearance. Circus master Bytes, a cruel man, recounts how his mother was attacked by an elephant while she was pregnant with Merrick. Dr. Treves arranges for Merrick to be hospitalized. Dr. Shortly after, Treves realizes that behind Merrick's frightening appearance, there is a very sensitive and humane person. The nurses at the hospital, who were afraid of him at first, will also get used to Merrick. It is clear that the cause of the appearance of the unfortunate man is a neurological disease called "multiple neurofibromatosis". Hospital life is not easy either. The night watchman cuts the tickets and puts the Elephant Man on stage and starts earning money from him. Meanwhile, Bytes reappears, kidnaps him and brings him back to the European mainland, to the bad old days. Merrick's only hope is to escape and return to England.
