On November 13, 1974, police received a frightening phone call from 112 Ocean Avenue, Long Island, New York. When the police got there, they found the whole family dead in their beds. A few days later, Ronald DeFeo admitted that some "voices" in the house had caused him to kill his parents and four siblings. A year later, George Lutz, Kathy Lutz and their children thought they had found their dream home and moved here. Shortly after the move, incomprehensible and strange events began to happen in the house. The nightmarish visions and scary voices came from the presence of evil that was still in the house. Fearing the presence of their daughter Chelsea, an imaginary friend named Jody, Katie struggles to keep the family together while George spends day and night in the basement. George discovers a secret passageway in the basement that leads to a mysterious compartment called the Red Room. As the house comes to life and the chilling events that will forever come to be known as the "Amityville Horror" take place, demonic voices and images ring in George's mind.
