After being exposed to radiation, four little turtles grow to a human size and are trained in martial arts by Master Splinter, while the mouse is transformed, like them, in the sewers of a big city. Splinter, who named the turtles after his favorite renaissance artists Michelangelo, Raphael, Leonardo and Donatello, guides them in the fight against crime. When beautiful TV presenter April learns of the Ninja Turtles' existence and gains their trust, they work together to foil the plans of the evil warlord Shredder.
