The spirit of a murdered woman haunts her humble Chicago home, desperately waiting to communicate with someone who can hear her. Its expectation comes across as an ordinary family of 3 people. 6-year-old Jake first speaks to Spirit, but his sensible parents Tom and Maggie mock their son's idea of imaginary friends. Horrible and violent images of a woman raped and murdered after being hypnotized at a party invades Tom's mind. As time passes, Tom is surrounded by ghostly sounds and visions from the past. Who is this woman?.. Tom decides to find out what really happened to this woman. Not just buried bones, but a deadly theory is about to emerge...
