Silent House 2011

After the Blair Witch Project created such a huge market for horror movies, fake documentaries and footage from handheld cameras began to follow the production trend from around the world. The hand-held Uruguayan film La Casa Muda is one of the latest additions to this work. But there is one important technical detail that distinguishes the film, which is said to be based on the infamous horror films [Rec] and El Orfanato, especially in the country of neighboring Spain: one continuous shot. First of all, let's talk about the story of La Casa Muda, which is based on a true event in Uruguay in the 1940s and whose case was closed due to lack of evidence. Nestor decides to sell his house in the desert land outside the city and brings his old friend Wilson and his daughter Laura here to clean the house. The father-daughter, who comes home to start cleaning early in the evening, roughly checks the old house where there is no electricity, and after making cleaning plans for the next day, they go to their corner to sleep. But when Laura begins to hear strange noises coming from the top floor, which Nestor had specifically warned them not to go out, terrible events begin that will end before the morning of that morning.
