Love and Smoking is a "working class opera" and passionate comedy set in contemporary America. James Gandolfini is Nick Murder's protagonist in a movie about a man's journey through deception and the return of deception. On the verge of a midlife crisis, Nick falls in love with the red-haired Tula (Kate Winslet). For Kitty (Susan Sarandon), Nick's wife for many years, this betrayal is the last straw. Losing her faith in her husband, Kitty is surprised by the predatory feelings she experiences because of hatred. Nick, on the other hand, will finally understand the pain he has endured for his family. Over time, he will discover the value of love and respect for his wife. In "Love and Cigarettes", Turturro appears with an exciting, enthusiastic and ambitious scenario. He describes the film as a wild musical. “Songs speak where words are not enough for the characters to express themselves. The way to escape from reality is to sing; “As she sings, she dreams, remembers, and connects with other people,” says Turturro. The film combines David Mamet's cutting-edge dialogue with the Coen brothers' stunning and extraordinary visuals. The executive producers of the film, which was nominated for the Golden Lion at the 2005 Venice Film Festival, JOEL and ETHAN COHEN say they are honored to be involved in this project. The fact that John Turturro watches himself as a street dancer and his sons Amedeo and Diego act as the unseen characters of the film is also remarkable and makes the film even more attractive. The film, which combines modern and classical music tones, features works by famous artists such as James Brown, Nick Cave and Bruce Springsteen. A fairy tale about LOVE and SMOKING, sexuality and death.
