Rent 2005

Chris Columbus, who directed the 2001 and 2002 Harry Potter films, is directing the film adaptation of the musical Rent, based on Giacomo Puccini's La bohème, about the struggles of a group of artists living on New York's Lower East Side. Anthony Rapp, Adam Pascal and Idina Menzel, who played the lead roles in the award-winning musical, also gave life to the same characters in the film.
