Hong Kong-based director John Woo worked on a big budget to bring this war to the big screen realistically. Funded by independent producers, Red Rock has become the most expensive Asian film ever made. John Woo and other big names have been among the biggest stars of Asian cinema. The film chronicles the wars that took place in the last period of the Han Dynasty in 208 AD and led to the beginning of the Three Kingdoms.
