Paths of Glory describes the effects of war on human life. In the chaos of the First World War, the French general Broulard orders General Mireau to capture the German-controlled Ant Hill at any cost. During the tenure, nothing goes as expected and the troop is certain to fail. From this point on, the dirty tricks and inhuman actions that Mireau plays on these soldiers, whom he puts in danger for position and rank, reveal the cheapness of human life in the chaotic environment of war. Stanley Kubrick's realistic masterpiece was censored by various countries for a long time and banned from being shown.
