Out of My Mind

Melody Brooks, a sixth grader who happens to have cerebral palsy, possesses a keen sense of humor and a brilliant intellect. Unfortunately, due to her non-verbal communication and reliance on a wheelchair, Melody has been unfairly excluded from various opportunities that her peers enjoy. However, when a perceptive educator recognizes Melody's hidden talents and encourages her integration into regular classes, Melody seizes the chance to demonstrate that the content of her thoughts is far more significant than the method of their delivery. In doing so, Melody challenges preconceived notions and inspires those around her with her wisdom and insight.
