Oliver, an orphan running from work, encounters a pickpocket on the streets of London. Orphan and orphan Oliver Twist is kicked out of the orphanage for wanting more food. Unable to bear the abuse of the family he saw with him, he escapes and comes to London. Adopted by Fagin, the head of a robbery gang operating on the streets of London, Oliver learns the secrets of pickpocketing, but can't get used to his new life. Well-intentioned Mr. Brownlow kidnaps Oliver in his first pickpocket attempt. This good man will be Oliver's savior and enable him to get the life he seeks and deserves.
