Chef Kate Armstrong (CATHERINE ZETA-JONES) runs her life the way she runs 22 Bleecker restaurants in Manhattan: she surprises and scares everyone around her with a clear intensity. During each crazy meal, Kate unleashes all her powers with incredible skill, coordinating hundreds of dishes, preparing delicious sauces, cooking and garnishing each dish to perfection. Behind the scenes, Kate shows up from the safety of her kitchen to get a compliment on a meal that only cost her, or for a client who rarely dares to question her abilities. After work, Kate goes to bed before midnight most nights and gets up at dawn to head to the fish market to beat her rivals for the day's fresh food.
