Called by the FBI on a red notice, Marks had 43 aliases, 89 hotlines and 25 companies worldwide. Bernard Rose, the film's screenwriter and director, explains the lesson learned from the film: “I think drug is a very emotional word. I finally made this movie that shows that drugs have two different meanings. One of them is the legality and prohibition angle; Another thing is addiction.
