Adapted from the best-selling autobiography Mr. Nice (Mr. Nice) tells the extraordinary life story of Howard Marks. He was once one of the most notorious drug dealers in the world. Called by the FBI on a red notice, Marks had 43 aliases, 89 hotlines and 25 companies worldwide. Bernard Rose, the film's screenwriter and director, explains the lesson learned from the film: “I think drug is a very emotional word. I finally made this movie that shows that drugs have two different meanings. One of them is the legality and prohibition angle; Another thing is addiction. I think these two questions are a bit confused in people's minds. Howard's story sums up the path to addiction in this country."
