Mommy, screened on October 8, 2014, in which Xavier Dolan, the master director and screenwriter of drama-heavy films, was behind the camera, drew attention to the 2015 Oscar ceremony as the only Oscar nominee among Canadian-made films. Ana, starring names such as Anne Dorval, Antoine-Olivier Pilon and Suzanne Clément, has had an IMDB rating of 8.3 so far. The Canadian-made movie, shot with a budget of around 4-5 Million Dollars, earned an income of 12-13 Million. Diane Despres, 48, who lost her husband three years ago, is a woman trying to stand on her feet with her only son. Diane, who is trying to earn enough money to take care of her family after her husband dies, is also having a hard time because her 15-year-old little son has hyperactive and attention disorder problems. Unable to overcome her husband's pain, the woman takes her son to the rehabilitation center, and Steve is expelled for trying to injure a patient at the rehabilitation center, or even to burn down the hospital. The rehabilitation center offers Steve's mother two options. One of them will take care of his son himself or they will send him to a reformatory. The last option is exceedingly impossible for a mother and she will choose to take care of her son on her own, trying to overcome difficulties...
