Sheriff Ed Galt, Joe Munday, and John Smith were corrupt shooters during the Prohibition era. John Smith's job takes him to Jericho, Texas. It is known as a promising and welcoming city for foreigners. But when John arrives, he finds Jericho, a ghost town where two rival gangs fight in street wars and more than half of the innocent people have abandoned it. He sees this as an opportunity and acts on both sides, seeking to earn himself good money and fame as a hired gunslinger. But gradually he will be alone and saving his life will become his most important goal.
