Legend has it that in the year 1516, the king of Algiers was married to a woman named Zaphira. When the notorious pirate Aroudj Barbarossa sailed into the city to free it from the clutches of the Spaniards, he set his eyes not only on capturing the kingdom but also on winning the heart of Zaphira. However, little did he know that Zaphira was not just a damsel in distress waiting to be conquered. She was a woman with her own ambitions and plans. As the city braced for battle, the question remained: Would Zaphira submit to Barbarossa's advances, or was she secretly plotting a game of her own?
