Charles (Michael Douglas), who has been in psychiatric treatment for a while, leaves the hospital and moves in with his daughter Miranda (Evan Rachel Wood). Miranda is a girl who continues to live with her father after her mother left home at a young age and then had to live alone when she was hospitalized in a psychiatric hospital. But after her father's return, Miranda hardens. Armed with a metal detector and a treasure hunter's kit, Charlie tracks down a lost treasure he believes is buried near their home, which he identifies from a map in a book in the hospital library. Initially skeptical of the idea, Miranda soon becomes involved in her father's strange behavior. In this dark comedy, one side wants to believe the treasure story, while the other side still says the man is mentally ill. Miranda is in the same situation; Sometimes he gets so caught up in his father's story that sometimes everything just doesn't make sense.
