We live in the 22nd century in a New York City of 65 million people, now known as Mega City One, where flying cars are a part of everyday life. The only thing opposing the anarchy that reigns in the city is the well-armed police and the most important link of this power, the "judges". Of all the judges with the power to protect, arrest, prosecute and, if necessary, execute, the most popular is none other than the ruthless Judge Dredd. Rico, one of Dredd's villains, escapes from prison and falsely accuses our hero of a crime. Now Dredd must find a way to avoid falling prey to the brutal machine he was once a part of.
