Newton Davis, a successful architect, offers his custom-made house to his girlfriend Becky as a marriage proposal. However, Becky unexpectedly rejects Newton. Depressed, Newton leaves his new home. After a while, he meets a girl named Gwen. Newton spent the night with Gwen in her new home and left her at home the next day. As a result of various events, the whole town, Newton and Becky's family think they are married. Gwen and Newton think this is a rare opportunity to make Becky jealous and bring her back to Newton. Then they divorce. However, after a while, no one in the city wants Newton and Gwen to break up, and everyone tries to help them reunite.
