Hitchcock/Truffaut 2015

Alfred Hitchcock and François Truffaut are two directors who have had the greatest impact on the direction an art is headed. There is a bridge between the two: Truffaut's book, Cinema According to Hitchcock, which was compiled from a three-day interview with Hitchcock and published in 1966. Kent Jones' documentary Hitchcock/Truffaut asks the current great directors of cinema: "How did this book affect your view of cinema?" Fincher, Schrader, Scorsese, Assayas, Bogdanovich and many others pay homage to two great directors in the eagerly awaited documentary of the year.
