Year 1891. Gauguin exiles himself to Tahiti. The painter wants to rediscover himself as a free and wild man, far from the moral, political and aesthetic codes of civilized Europe. He goes to deal with loneliness, poverty and illness. Here he meets his wife and Tehura, who will be the subject of his greatest paintings. The 2017 French movie Gauguin: Voyage to Tahiti is directed by director Edouard Deluc.
