Firefighter Caleb and Katherine have been married for 7 years, falling in love with and marrying Caleb after years of dreaming of a brave firefighter like his father. After discussing classic topics such as work and money, the couple eventually decide to separate. As the divorce proceedings continue, Caleb's father asks his son to experience 40 days of trying to save his marriage, and Caleb accepts his request not to leave his father and not save the relationship. At the end of this experience, he realizes his love for his wife and wants to win her heart back. As the firefighters say, Caleb will never leave anyone behind.
