In July 1789, the French Revolution reached its peak. Away from the hustle and bustle, at the Palace of Versailles, King Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette and their courtiers live their normal lives. However, they are horrified when they learn that the Bastille has been attacked. Many aristocrats and servants flee the sinking ship, leaving the royal family alone. Sidonie Laborde, the queen's reader, is not among the travelers. Under no circumstances will he give up on his queen. What Sidoni doesn't know is that he only has three days to spend with his beloved queen.
