The Queen of the Desert, the director of movie Priscilla, returns with this hilarious comedy ten years later... On the beach, he meets and marries sexy American racing driver Larita (Jessica Biel). John and Larita will live in London but must stay with John's mother until they find a home. On this occasion, he will meet his mother-in-law Veronica in Larita. Veronica (Kristin Scott Thomas) is a very traditional mother. Unlike her husband, Colonel Whittaker (Colin Firth), she is a free and calm person. Having deeply experienced the drama of the First World War, she lives her own life away from the greed and passion of the introvert Veronica. Meeting the bride and mother-in-law will be more difficult than expected. Veronica gets goosebumps as soon as she sees her new bride. No matter how hard Larita tries, everything is useless. The mother-in-law tries at every opportunity to reveal the bad sides of the past and Larita's character. The minds compete in a conflict between Larita, who wants to save her marriage, and Veronica, who wants to protect her position, reputation and power.
