Deliverance 1972

A dam is about to be built on the Kahulawassi River, which separates the southern states of Georgia from South Carolina. Soon this river will disappear and an artificial reservoir will be formed in its place. City friends Ed (Jon Voight) Bobby (Ned Beatty) and Drew (Ronnie Cox) plan one last canoe trip and some adventure before the nature of the river is gone forever. They want it to be different from their own ending. When they enter the forest by the river, they encounter the insincere behavior of the local people, which is inversely proportional to the beauty of nature, and their journey turns into a nightmare.
