"Are you free tonight...?" It's a simple enough question, but one person's answer to this question will change your life forever. This person is Jonathan McQuarrie (Ewan McGregor). For Jonathan, a nameless man wandering the waters of those in power in New York, the "Always work, never have fun" mentality is irrelevant. He prefers to stick to the "study everything, live" mentality. However, he meets by chance, the charismatic corporate lawyer Wyatt Boz (Hugh Jackman), who introduces Jonathan to Manhattan's corrupt playground, an elite-only New York City. top executives in Wyatt's world, men don four thousand dollar suits and when they loosen their bonds they find themselves in stuffy underground chambers; women are extraordinarily beautiful and approachable. Could these powerful stockbrokers who work eighteen hours a day have a private life? There's a kind of sex club for them called The List, and calling their cell phone and saying four words ("Are you free tonight?") can be the start of a sexually satisfying night. As Jonathan's first conquest indicates (and vice versa), this is a world of "unmixed intimacy"; and so Jonathan discovers a trait in himself he didn't even know existed. On the other hand, the young man has only one "S". His relationship with an extremely attractive and mysterious woman he knows as (Michelle Williams) plunges him into a world of betrayal and murder he could never have imagined.
