One winter afternoon, Beth and her daughters see a distraught, lost dog on the side of the road. Struggling with an empty home and a lost husband in her own life, Beth forges a special bond between the rescued animal. A wild search begins when Joseph loses his dog after getting married at their summer home. Enraged, Beth enlists the help of the few remaining wedding guests and a mysterious young woman. Going out in search of dogs in groups, these people are fascinated by unexpected, funny, disappointing, and sometimes deeply emotional adventures.
