Mick Dundee lives a quiet and comfortable life in a remote Australian town with his girlfriend Sue and their 9-year-old son Mikey. One day, Sue is called to the Los Angeles office of her father's newspaper. They want Sue to take on the role of the bureau chief who died suspiciously. Sue, Mick and their son move to Los Angeles. However, their life here does not go as they hoped.
