Canadian director Atom Egoyan's work after "Worship Big Mistake" was the opening film of the San Sebastian Film Festival. The plot of the movie is based on the 2005 erotic psychological drama Natalie, directed by Anna Fontaine. When Katherine suspects her flirtatious husband David is having an affair, she hires Chloe, an expensive young prostitute, to control him. But the relationship between the three turns into an obsession and it becomes increasingly uncertain who falls in love with whom. Egoyan describes his most comfortable film, Big Mistake, as a "smart and sexy" Hitchcock thriller set in Toronto.
