Set in a time when two men, a cowboy and a farmer, live under harsh conditions, the film begins when their paths cross thanks to a job they found on Brokeback Mountain. A sincere and emotional bond develops between the two men over time. Brokeback Mountain, which featured names such as Jake Gyllenhaal, Heath Ledger and Michelle Williams, was directed by Ang Lee and adapted from Annie Proulx's short story.
