Henry, a failing British writer, encounters his latest book being hated around the world, but unexpectedly becoming hugely popular in Mexico. Traveling to Mexico at the invitation, Henry learns that the Spanish translator Maria has rewritten her book as an erotic novel. Their career journey takes an unexpected turn when their manager insists that he arrange a tour of Mexico with Maria.
