Cimcime (Hushpuppy) is an adorable six-year-old boy who lives with his father in the poor but happy Bathtup (The Basin) community on the shores of New Orleans. His slightly offended father, Wink, falls ill with a mysterious illness one day. This unprecedented and undiagnosable disease is shaking up the way the world works and causing a kind of doom. An ancient army named Bison, who lived in prehistoric times, emerges from their graves and begins to fight to bring the world to an end. Now he will leave the little Kimsime community and start looking for his mother on the other side of the world. He has to save both his father and the flooded house and the donor. Adapted to the big screen from the theater play "Juicy and Tasty", the play became one of the most popular films of 2012 at major festivals. The film, which won awards in important categories at the Cannes and Sundance festivals, was remembered especially with the outstanding performance of child actor Quvenzhane Wallis.
