Arthur considers his days filled with alcohol to be the best days of his life with little motivation. He counts on two letherms to outlast him and his childhood nanny, Hobson, who has always taken care of him. His family gives up on him as he chooses to live as a playboy rather than marry the person they chose for him. If he decides to continue on this path, he will face an uncertain future. Instead, they expect him to accept his decision and move on as a family man.
