Around the World in 80 Days 2004
The film adaptation of Jules Verne's Around the World in 80 Days is about Passepartout trying to travel to China to retrieve a sacred object stolen from his village. Passepartout's companion is Fielas Fogg, who has placed his reputation and career as an inventor on the daring bet that he will travel the world in 80 days, and Lord Kelvin, President of the Royal Academy of Sciences, must stop them, as Passepartout does. If he wins, Fogg faces loss of power and wealth and is willing to do whatever it takes. The beautiful young French actress Monique de Graves joins Passepartout and Fogg, who think she'll find her lost muse during her travels. After persuading them to take him with her, she not only finds her artistic soul, but also falls in love with the fussy scientist Fogg. As the trio travels the world in their adventures, they race against time, meet a wide variety of characters, encounter excitement, danger, love and fun events.
