Brandon Cronenberg seems to be following in the footsteps of his father, David Cronenberg. They both seem to work the same, but Brandon's style is a bit more flamboyant. We live in an age where people want to feel their germs closer to the stars in the movie. There are even very reputable clinics that do this. Sid works at one of these clinics. He carries his famous viruses in his body and sells them to smugglers to earn big money in an easy way. One day, he gets a virus that kills one of the stars and everything starts to go wrong. A movie that develops like science fiction suddenly turns into a grotesque horror story. The movie shows us one of the extremes of the star culture we've created. In his directorial debut, Cronenberg successfully manages an ambitious project, both in form and content, such as Antivirus.
