As the events of the First Movie take place so long ago and the calendars point to the near future, ex-pilot Ted Stryker must, for once, outrun his ex-girlfriend and other passengers from a plane speeding towards the sun. Even if Ted doesn't know how to do this, he will be able to save everyone, even if it costs his life.
