Barbara, Transit, and Undine director Christian Petzold's latest film made its world premiere at the main competition of the 2023 Berlin Film Festival, where it was awarded the top prize. Red Sky, the second installment of the director's trilogy focusing on natural elements, takes place in a small vacation home by the Baltic Sea, surrounded by a forest. The scorching heat has been relentless, with no rain for weeks. Four friends, two old and two new, gather together and emotions begin to ignite, much like the dry forests around them. Happiness, desire, and love intertwine with jealousy, resentment, and tension. Before long, the flames of the forest will reach the house...
