Across the Universe 2007

The love story of 33 Beatles songs. Traveling from Liverpool to New York in search of his missing father, Jude finds himself in the middle of anti-war protests and rock and roll when he and Lucy cross paths. Accompanied by their guides "Dr. Robert" (Bono) and "Mr. Kite" (Eddie Izzard), Jude and Lucy took the anti-war spirit of the 1960s from Greenwich Village to Detroit, where muses roam. They become a part of the riots with flags waving in the streets. Jude's brother, Max, travels to Vietnam and forces the couple to pull them out of the pink cloud over which they float and discover other truths. According to its director, "Across the Universe" is not only a nostalgic and romantic love story, but also a story similar to today and questioning the world order.
