The Best Mother in the World

Fleeing from her violent husband, Gal, a garbage collector, hastily loads her two young children, Rihanna and Benin, onto her cart and embarks on a perilous journey across the bustling streets of São Paulo to reach her cousin's place. To shield her children from the harsh reality of their situation, she spins tales of a grand adventure they are embarking on. Upon reaching her cousin's home, they are greeted with open arms and nourished. Yet, the apparent refuge soon reveals itself to be a snare. Gal realizes that not only her own well-being is in jeopardy, but also the prospects of her beloved children.
